Laura Stobbart Reflexologist on the Shropshire/Powys border.

What to expect:

  • When booking your appointment we can discuss what you are seeking from a reflexology session and what to expect. I will bring my own lafuma chair and stool. Occasionally my lafuma chair is not comfortable for a client (for example during later stages of pregnancy) and we will then set up on a sofa or reclining chair using a footstool. I ask clients to provide hand towels and their own blanket (if needed) for their treatment.

  • On your first treatment we will complete a full consultation looking at your medical history, liftestyle and how you are feeling physically and emotionally.

  • During a treatment, you will be required to remove any footwear and socks and sit in a lafuma chair. I will use foot balms and apply pressure with my thumbs and fingers to all parts of your feet noting any problem areas. Do not worry about the appearance of your feet, it helps me to understand more about your current health and well-being. You may wish to have a blanket during a treatment to keep you warm.

  • A reflexology sessions lasts up to 1 hour. Post treatment you will have the opportunity to talk with me about the treatment and discuss aftercare advice. It’s important to rest well after a treatment and drink plenty of water. Please make sure you have a bottle of water with you during treatment if needed.

  • A treatment plan of 4-6 reflexology sessions may be helpful to see improvements of some conditions and symptoms.

Please speak to your GP or consultant if you want to try reflexology alongside existing medical treatment, or for existing medical conditions such as heart conditions and epilepsy. Reflexology should not be used as a substitute for medical treatments.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy to be used with, not instead of.
